La Boulangerie Minha Vizinha | My neighbour La Boulangerie.

We find happiness at home, but also at the places we chose to spend time at.
When I say places, I mean coffee shops we chose to meet friend, grocery shops to buy the ingredients for dinner or the bakery where we know we find the most basic yet important element of the food chain - bread.
At Janelas Verdes, right where I leave, there's a place I like to spend time on my own, with friends, where I've met my favourite neighbour and where I buy bread and a de-li-ci-o-us almond croissant (a must have).
La Boulangerie (former La Boulangerie by Stef) is a place to stay,to appreciate (and don't forget the almond croissant) and to be inspired for home - if you get stuck with a plate which you have no idea what to do with it, or a little cage from your childhood or maybe a souvenir you have from your last trip, you might find the tip you've been looking for. It's a contemporary space with a vintage twist not to be missed out.

Arty flair.
Trendy chalkboards.
Love is in the detail.
The unexpected space - lavatory right in the main room - love concept.
Don't know where they got these, though next time I pop in I will ask if it belongs to the old space.
In love with these plates - made by Costa Nova, Portugal .
My bread and butter (and double coffee).

Lisbon is beautiful than ever. I think we all agree, don't we?
Cute shops in every corner, graceful cafes, restaurants owned by international entrepreneurs who have chosen this world's capital to establish their knowledge, terraces to embrace the Sun with all the majesty it deserves. Oh! and with a young and international population.

But today I want to talk about the neighbourhood I live in - Estrela (Star).
For many, this area is considered "out of hand", though for me is one of the most beautiful in Lisbon and where lovely spaces are. Estrela Gardens, little 9 de Abril Garden (with an astonish view to Tagus river), Estrela Basilica , National Museum of Ancient Art (with a garden not to be missed out), Oriente Museum, delicious restaurants like the Travessa and, not to be forgotten, Charm Hotels such as the Palácio do Ramalhete, York House, and Janelas Verdes, which enchant those who pass by.

I don't have photos, actually, I do have photos, though better than publish them here, I rather invite you to spend a day at Estrela and feel this is actually a little corner full of light in Lisbon. If you do need company, it'll be my pleasure to walk you around.
