Rebirth.

All these photographs have been inspiring me lately.
Rethink. Restart. Rebirth.
Get inspired.

This is one of the most beautiful dead spaces I've ever seen. To see the clouds through the non existing roof from the outside is so inspiring. Beautiful different point of view.

This house is abandoned. And they say it has bad spirits. And I say I want to give it life again.

Pigeon coop. A space where pigeons gather. An animal space I want to understand to develop my skills as a spatial designer.

Small windows. Small door. The advertisement of Singer, a stereotypically domestic woman’s product. What story has this space to tell? How can it be reinterpreted?

A church in the middle of nowhere. What could it be now? Reinterpret a spiritual space? Leave it as it is? Or give it some life, real life? How many stories can a space like this could tell us?

A gate seems to me always a fragile structure, although very intimidating. Makes me to stop. Makes me think twice if I really want to go through. Should I then redesign a gate?

By the way, I would love to put my hands on all these spaces as the existing start to reuse them.

Eliana, Your photography is the true capturing of moments in time and light. The structures you have chosen though I disagree with the characterization of them being 'dead', have the potential to be recreated through moments of design and light. Inspiring to see such focus of vision and style throughout an individual's work. I will await more anxiously.

By "dead spaces" i meant no one is making use of them..... and i would love to be commissioned to work on these structures as spatial designer, if you know what I mean...
Thanks for your comment. I'll keep you updated.

I adore any place with history like these. That pigeon coop is really special! It would be amazing to see them brought back to life in the hands of someone like yourself!

Beautiful! I'm also inspired by "dead spaces". I can't help but fantasize about reclaiming them when I pass one. But so many people go too far. I'd love to renovate one just enough to save it but not so much to destroy their ruined grandeur!

Thanks so much for your comment on my blog today. I'm glad you're enjoying our cozy corner of the blogosphere!

hey ese here!
even though the places look deserted and empty, you still manage to capture the images and make them alive. It's sort of inviting and makes you want to know places about these particular places. Well done!

Thanks for pointing me to this post, all of the images are beautiful. I really hope that we'll continue to see a movement towards salvaging the places and objects that served those who came before us well, instead of a constant focus on shiny new things to consume.

Hopefully, designers like you will lead the way.
