A qualidade do material, funcionalidade e principalmente a forma fazem dela a Nº 1.

luz, as madeiras o calor e as linhas simples a calma.
Apostariam no branco
ou nas madeiras?

Cosy Winter.
A chuva veio para ficar. O frio faz-lhe companhia.

Romantisk Helg I Norge.
Norway has probably the most romantic houses in Scandinavia. I not quite sure if it's because the daylight is so scarce, but the spaces really call for romantic environments.
Here's a few ideas for cold and rainy days we all expect ahead. Cosy is the new black.

Scandinavian Design.
Depending on the country, languages are different though they all come one from another. For example, I got to know yesterday, Student in Norwegian Student (Estudante in Portuguese, my first language). All very similar, though with different accents.
Design is a language too, therefore, and depending on the country, the "accents" are different. From Asian to European, American or Arab, you can tell by the look where it is come from, don't you?
Scandinavian Design is probably my favorite language. It embraces simple traces and organic look, though it's the colour and the textures that actually defines all the details and maybe that's why I feel so comfortable with this language.

By Nord | Where Design Meets Nature.
One of the biggest pleasures I have in life is to sleep on smoth bed linen with a fresh scent. I definitely sleep much better!
At Rost in Bergen I came across with this Danish brand called By Nord. Do you know it?

Røst | Bergen #1.
If I have to define Scandinavian design I would probably call it "Quite".
The lines and colours always hand in hand with the Mother Nature feeling make everything very peaceful and cosy, don't you think?
Røst,a shop in Bergen, has an amazing amalgam of brands which I would love to take them all back with me to Portugal. Maybe one day, who knows?

Fresh Blood @ Stockholm Design Week 2012.
I fall in love very easily. Not only with people but with objects too.
This amazing sofa grabbed my eye instantly. The idea of having my books "on" my seat next to a big window made me fly. Imagine how fantastic it must be to be laying on it, reading my favorite book, with a view to the infinite...
A perfect corner in the real world, isn't it? The colour is the detail, the form its function.

Tokyo #3 | Japanese Textiles.
This is the type of shops I get lost very easily. Not that I spend a fortune, but I totally forget the world exists outside. I can be here for hours wondering what I could do with these gorgeous fabrics.
My sense of touch gets in action and here we go...
Maybe I'll pop in again today to get more inspiration.
