A Ballerina Lamp.

How beautiful is this ballerina lamp from the opulent Opéra de Paris Garnier?

The Opéra de Paris Garnier has this cute little shop with hundreds of souvenirs related to ballet. This lamp really caught my eye. It's just perfect for any kind of space, isn't it?

A Chandelier From Paris.

As I'm still waiting for my things from London and my studio doesn't exist yet, I thought posting a few shots from Paris last week's trip would be an inspiring idea.

Paris will always be a favourite city, if not for all, I'm sure most of all.

Gold & Lime Inspiration - More Photos.

A few more photos on my Gold & Lime moodboard.

Designers Guild has this amazing wallpaper collection on feline patterns in bright colours, like the one I used here in turquoise, remember?

Even though Lime is such a fresh colour, Gold is not only aesthetically a perfect marriage but it gives so much warmth to this vibrate hue.

I really like the balance between velvet, bright colours, classic lines and feline patterns, all wrapped up in black background and gold details.

Gold & Lime Inspiration.

Autumn normally recalls warm & earthy colours. It's that time of the year we retreat, but for some reason I'm so inspired by fresh Lime. And what's better than black and gold on the background to brighten it even more?

More pictures will be posted soon.

Pink By Designers Guild.

Pink will always be associated to women, friendship and love. It is indeed a happy colour.

Tricia Guild is probably the most inspiring textiles designer in the world. Her bright side of life, girlish patters and bold colours inspires us all.

Because October is the official Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I thought nothing better than her work to celebrate the end of the month.

Give it some pink.

Her catalogues always feature beautiful spaces where contemporary design meets classic interiors with a fearless attitude. Love it.

Ballet.

When I was a child I wanted to be a ballerina. I had very long hair and loved to wear a ponytail rolled up like the ballerinas I used to see on TV. It would make me feel one of them.

Every time I see a performance or even a ballet picture I like to contemplate it. I smile. Brings some king of inspiration and calm.

Like the pictures I collect to collage, as I showed yesterday, I've a few with ballerinas, but these go to a separate wall where I can look at whether I'm on my desk or on my sofa. Now that I'm moving cities I took a photo to remember and to add to the next one I'm planning to start.

Here are a few images I would like to share.

Aren't they all so beautiful?

This collage is made from ads, photos, postcards and newspaper, among many others.

My Favourite Wall #2

One of the things I have lots of pleasure to do as a creative person are my walls of inspiration. Some of the things I see or read make some kind of impact on my thoughts, and the reaction is to cut and collage them on a wall in my living space.

Do you have a inspiration wall? Share with us.

This is the last one I've been building. Small yet thoughtful.

Exactly the perspective from my chair.

This one is not a wall of inspiration as the above, but it is indeed one of my favourite corners in the house. I like to seat on my armchair, look at the pile and pick either a book, a film or a magazine for the moment. It's is another source of inspiration, isn't it?

French Hall And Stairs.

Halls and stairs have been always a very important space for me. The hall is the first space we encounter when the door is opened and the stairs that transition from one to another level.

Here some of my favourite spaces from Coco Chanel's movie, the house of Balsan. Great source of inspiration and dream, if they have different meanings.

We rarely seat or stay in a hall, but like this one, a chair is missing. Seating in front of this amazing French doors, reading a book or even just staring at the view, is just perfect for a Sunday afternoon isn't it?

Mix and match with patterns is the right choice, and always very often found in stair halls.

Maybe because I've been totally inspired by monograms lately, the blazon catches my eye.

Sonia Rykiel Maison

As I've booked a seminar for tomorrow at the V&A about Paris, I thought it's a good opportunity to post about one of my favourite designers. I love Sonia's bright side of fashion, her frizzy hair and severe fringe - well, over all, I love her style.

When it comes to interior déco, I love the combination of bold, deep colours, always perfect to dress any bed or bathroom. Whether a minimalistic or more classic space, her accessories wrap up the energy.
